Teressa Wilcox is a native of Rochester, NY. Her work combines classic American songwriting with bombastic high-energy rock and roll. With a career that has spanned numerous genres, it’s hard to pigeonhole her sound.
Wilcox has collaborated with artists like Sam Andrew (of Big Brother and the Holding Company), penned a Top 40 hit during a stint in London, and published work through acclaimed film and theater lyricist Don Black. She has appeared live with jazz artists like Chet Catallo (of Spyro Gyra) and Al Chez (from The World’s Most Dangerous Band). She has opened for everyone from Asia to Lucinda Williams.
Her previous recordings include a self-titled acoustic album, available on iTunes and Spotify. The next record is aimed at capturing the raw power of her live show, equal parts Jeff Buckley and Joan Jett. The ballads are sweet and soulful, but the faster tunes show no mercy. As CITY Magazine explains, “[I]t’s Wilcox who all the eyeballs gravitate toward. But every single player up on that stage is a major-league heavy hitter.”
In addition to a prolific career as a singer-songwriter, producer and multi- instrumentalist, Grammy-nominated artist Mike Brown is an incredibly dynamic and versatile collaborator. His debut record, American Hotel, was self-recorded in all 50 states over the course of eight years, and features a staggeringly diverse roster of 75 special guests, including members of: The Band, Los Lobos, The Jayhawks, Wilco, Television, Nine Inch Nails, Bare Naked Ladies, Guster, Goo Goo Dolls, The Wallflowers, Counting Crows, Sparklehorse, Gwar, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Matchbox Twenty, The Meat Puppets, Soul Asylum, Cracker, Superdrag, Whiskeytown, Morph*ne, Moxy Fruvous, Belle and Sebastian, 10,000 Maniacs, The Minus 5, Freedy Johnston, Letters To Cleo and Soul Coughing.
Mike is currently working on his next album Songs for Seven Fingers, which includes members of Band of Horses, Sparklehorse, Larry and His Flask, Morph*ne, Whiskeytown and several others.
